Izzy Noone

Bristol-based Short Film Producer

I'm Izzy and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Bristol. I am an independent short film producer and production assistant.

As part of my MA dissertation project, I produced Honey Trap, a short film about three friends who try to get revenge on an ex-boyfriend but find themselves in a sticky situation. Since releasing the film into the world, it has met early success on the film festival circuit, featuring at Porto Femme International Film Festival, RS Film Festival and SHORT to the Point's April Film Selection.

I'm interested in producing female-focused comedy projects. I am also seeking employment as a production assistant.

Skills and Experience

As an early career producer and production assistant, I have a lot to offer a potential project or studio.

I am highly organised and I'm an effective communicator. In 2022, I organised the fundraising campaign for Honey Trap, raising £1000 towards production costs and festival fees. We were featured on Indiegogo's front page and we doubled our initial goal. I was responsible for communicating with our backers and distributing our rewards to our supporters.

I also have experience managing complex shoots. I am able to make call sheets, book locations for venues as well as organise casting calls and auditions. I can also offer thoughtful and considerate feedback to scripts and treatments.

Furthermore, I have worked in a studio environment as a production assistant for a Bristol-based VFX studio. I can take concise notes and I am adept at calendar management within a busy studio. Within this role, I also organised press coverage for the studio move, resulting in features in Broadcast, Televisual and Definition.

Ultimately, I am very adaptable and always willing to learn things.

About

Honey Trap

Director: Eleanor Kenny
Producer: Izzy Noone
Cinematography: Michael Suszczenia
Starring: Dannie Dart, Elouise Warboys, Emerald Gunn-Cahill, Xavier Knox-Johnston and Nicole Antoine

Honey Trap was my dissertation project for my Film and Television MA at the Univeristy of Bristol. Filmed in the summer of 2022, I collaborated with director and writer, Eleanor Kenny to produce the film.

As the producer, I managed the fundraising campaign for the film on Indiegogo. With an initial goal of £500, we met our target within 48 hours. We eventually raised £1000 to go towards filming costs and our campaign was featured on the front page of Indiegogo! Featured rewards included mentions in the credits, posters and an exclusive zine of behind-the-scenes images.

The film helped me secure a distinction in my MA and is now doing well on the film festival circuit. So far it has been featured at Porto Femme International Film Festival, SHORT to the Point's April Selection as well as RS Film Fest where Elouise won 'Best Actress' for her role as Nic!

FUGU

FUGU is an upcoming creative network created to encourage collaborative projects between filmmakers, graphic designers and artists. The idea for FUGU emerged during the crowdfunding phase for Honey Trap. We noticed that many film posters featured on platforms like Indiegogo didn't help sell projects to backers.

As a solution, we started building FUGU. We hope that it will become a platform for early-career filmmakers and artists to collaborate to build their portfolios and strengthen branding for independent film funding campaigns. Often, it's hard to find artists to create posters and artwork for films so we're hoping FUGU will be a place to facilitate networking between artistic spheres.

Keep your eyes peeled on @FUGU.CREATIVES on Instagram to hear the latest news about this project.
